Yeah I know, I said I would not draw more 40k but considering I play and draw for my DW role-playing game. It's quite hard to not draw it. I draw the character designs for my GM to give him my idea what my characters or designs of other characters/weapons, look like.
But here is this my role-playing character Raphael level 3 knights of blood Apothecary. And yes that's a MK.1 chainshield. It was given to him by the famous, 'Mad dog' Serberus.
Rules: MK.1 Chainshield: Serberus Pattern MK.I Chainshield 'Avencia': The MK.I Chainshield is starpped to the vambrace of the users armour and as such the arm to which the shield is attached counts as free for the purposes of holding a weapon. The chainshield is a balanced and a defensive weapon (+25 to Parry) and does 1d5+1 Impact damage. Special 'All Teeth': When succesfully Parrying an attack with the Mk.I Chainshield, the user counts as having the Counter Attack trait and may then make an immediate an attack against their opponent using only the chainshield ('chainsword' profile) as a free action, following all the normal rules for a counter attack. field protection 25.
On the battlefield. "Guardsman! What happened to you?" "Some shrapnel stuck in my leg, but it's only flesh wound" "I see .It requires amputation!" "What?! I think it only need stitching" "Can you imagine me holding needle?" And this is how I imagine typical Space Marine doctor.
