This is my entry for a competition of the Beast of War website, it's a competition about what would you want to see in the codex and I wanted to see a 'Necron Walker' [link] please forgive the title as I messed that up and I can't seem to change it now

Well I suppose the "wings" could still be used as it's distance weapons by possibly shooting lighting bolts like a Staff of Light could, only much more powerful as for the fact that the Sword is to big, well I read some where that the Necrons employ some sort of gravity Nullifying field (or was it reality manipulation?) that would allow them to even use designs that would be impractical in a planets atmosphere but I'm so sure were that was from, so I'm not quite sure about this piece of informations validity.....

As a guard player, part of me died a little inside at the idea of this being an actual unit.
Although for an apocalypse battle, it coul be used.

looks pretty cool but in personally not so keen on those wings... its unique in the necron army, ill give you that, but it also seems unfitting in their army...
i think a cape like the overlord has or a scarab like shield (like the destroyer hoverbody) would be more fitting...

i know but it kind of looks like wings and it just looks a bit off in the necron army... it does stand out though, but idk if its standing out the right way looking like this...

your definitely on to something, but imho i think it needs some tweaking

Can you not use your imagination? When I said, it has spider legs, so what does spiders good at, moving over obstacles, or use it to capture its prey (depends what species of spiders). And also arachnid does associate to this army.
